Twelve years had passed and her pain was as solid as that very first day. His screeching still echoed in her ears, as she felt the weight of that train thrashing against her chest. And every time this painful thought came to mind, she would stretch out her hand in vain, hoping that at least this time she would be able to grip the handlebar of the pram in time.
This is a response to the Trifextra Writing Challenge. The weekend prompt was to write a complete story in only three sentences.
