“Again?!” he asked in surprise.

She meowed playfully. “There is nothing in this world that ice cream cannot fix.”

“I don’t disagree, but we’re having ice cream every day now…”

“And?” she rebuked. She could not see the problem with that.

It was still just the beginning of summer but it was already too hot. She could refuse food but not ice cream.

And deep down so could he. But he wanted to add a bit of drama before succumbing.

Each time they went to a different shop, trying new flavours.

It became their ‘thing’ – whatever happened a scoop of ice cream would make everything better.
