Maybe you’re looking in the wrong place.”

What?

She nearly slipped on the ice again. Elizabeth grabbed her sternly by the arm until Amy managed to stabilise her feet on the snow-covered surface.

Their long walks regardless of the hour often turned into philosophical talks.

Well,” Elizabeth continued, “You wouldn’t go searching for a fish in the mountains, would you? So why are you looking for the people you want in your life in the places you don’t even want to be, let alone have contact with?

  1. I like this companionable walk they take each night. Lovely story!

  2. Their ‘philosophical talks’ are a good habit. I like the way you’ve depicted these two friends and the closeness of their relationship. And the advice at the end is sound, and something we often don’t consider.
